Definitions worth knowing
OEM — Original Equipment Manufacturing
You supply the design; we produce it under your brand. MOQ often 1,000–3,000 pcs per SKU; lead time 25–40 days after deposit and sample approval. Best when you already know your market.
ODM — Original Design Manufacturing
We supply the product design from our 167+ catalog; you apply your branding. Lower MOQ (often 500–1,000 pcs); faster lead time (20–30 days). Best for first-time importers and gifting buyers.
AQL — Acceptable Quality Limit
The sampling standard for final inspection (e.g. 2.5 AQL). We run AQL inspection and 100% leak-testing with a pressure gauge, plus a vacuum drop test per batch.
Common questions
What is SSMug's minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ is flexible and negotiable. We serve retail orders, drop-shipping and custom wholesale inquiries, and quote competitively at each volume. Tell us your target quantity and we will propose the most cost-effective batch.
How long does sampling take?
Samples are produced in 5–7 days and shipped for your review. The sample fee is refundable against your bulk order.
What is the production lead time?
Standard lead time is 25–35 days after the deposit and sample approval. Rush production is available on request.
What certifications do SSMug products have?
Products are SGS certified, TÜV verified, ISO 9001 compliant, FDA compliant, LFGB approved and BPA free. We supply compliance files with every shipment so your goods clear customs smoothly.
Do you provide OEM and ODM?
Yes. Under OEM you supply the design and we produce it under your brand (MOQ often 1,000–3,000 pcs, 25–40 days). Under ODM you select from our 167+ existing models and apply your branding (lower MOQ, often 500–1,000 pcs, 20–30 days). We sign an NDA and provide 2D/3D drawings for confirmation.
Where is your factory located?
SSMug is run by Yongkang STWADD Houseware Co., Ltd. in Yongkang, Zhejiang, China — part of the Jinhua–Yongkang drinkware manufacturing cluster, often called the drinkware capital of East Asia.
What is your monthly production capacity?
We produce 500,000+ units per month across multiple automated production lines with robotic assistance.
Do you help with shipping and customs?
Yes. We perform AQL inspection, supply compliance files, and arrange freight to your port — typically FOB Ningbo or FOB Shanghai.
Which countries do you serve?
We ship to 50+ countries and exhibit at HOMELIFE trade shows in Jakarta, Dubai and Warsaw, and met LOTTE Mart Indonesia buyers in December 2024.
How do you protect my design and IP?
We sign an NDA before any drawing is shared, specify mold ownership in the agreement, and only release full technical files to the factory awarded the order. We also recommend registering your trademark in China.
